2. Project Description:

This is a simple and practical soap dish with a frosted texture, manufactured using a PC (Polycarbonate) sheet through CNC machining.

The soap dish features a rounded-edge design, with multiple curved drainage grooves inside the tray. These grooves effectively separate the soap from accumulated water, keeping the soap dry and extending its service life.

The semi-transparent material provides a lightweight and elegant visual appearance, combining practical functionality with modern home aesthetics. It is suitable for various applications, including bathrooms, hotels, washrooms, and other residential or commercial environments.

4. Raw Material Specification:

PC (Polycarbonate) sheet

5. Workholding Method:

Install positioning stops on the machining platform and define the machining origin. Secure the PC sheet using clamps around the edges to ensure stability throughout the machining process.

Notes:

Avoid blocking the machining area with clamps.
Confirm that there is no interference within the machining range before starting.

6. Controller Settings Before Machining:

Install the appropriate cutting tool and complete the tool change process according to the machine instructions.
Upload and select the machining program.
Set the work coordinate system.
Enable the edge scanning function.
Enable the automatic Z-axis probing function.
Enable automatic leveling according to the material surface condition.
Close the machine cover and start the machining program.

7. Machining Process Photos:

Stage 1:
Secure the PC sheet, load the machining program, and begin rough contour machining.

Stage 2:
Complete the machining of the internal drainage grooves, gradually forming the soap dish structure.

Stage 3:
Finish the overall machining process and inspect the edges and surface quality.

8. Post-processing:

After machining, use a soft brush to remove remaining chips and debris from the surface, then clean the part as needed.

Final Result:
The transparent PC soap dish has a complete structure, with internal drainage grooves effectively supporting the soap and allowing water drainage. Combined with the soap placed inside, the finished product presents a clean, elegant, and practical home accessory design.
