High-Speed Fan Impeller

This case comes with an official production reference video. The files are created for Carvera Air, yet the machining can also be accomplished on Makera Z1. You are welcome to refer to it for replication and co-creation.

This is a centrifugal impeller used in fluid conveying equipment (such as water pumps and fans). It drives the blades to rotate to realize pressurization and conveying of fluid. The part drawing of the model has been uploaded, and you can conduct secondary optimization based on the model. The focus of this project is to verify whether the machine tool can ensure consistent blade surface thickness without deformation and chatter marks when processing thin-walled, poor-rigidity and easily deformable materials, as well as whether the machine tool runs stably without stuttering during 4-axis linkage machining. The following is the description of the project working procedures. You can download the NC tool path file in the project, refer to the video tutorial and the procedure description below to complete the processing:

Process 1: 4-axis overall roughing, finishing and cutoff of the impeller.

Clamp an aluminum alloy round bar material with an outer diameter of 48mm and a length of 48mm by 4-axis. Upload and select the program: 53_1_1_F3.175T1BR1T2. After starting the machining task, wait for the equipment to finish the machining of this process.

Process 2: 3-axis machining of impeller central hole.

Refer to the video tutorial, install the backer at the second marking position, then press the groove machined in Process 1 on the opposite side of the backer with a pressure plate, remove the backer at the second anchor point, and then press the groove on the backer side with a pressure plate. Upload the program: 53_1_2_F3.175T1. After starting the machining task, wait for the equipment to finish the machining of this process.
