Overall Machining Process Rules
- Basic Process Configuration
  - Core process selection: Use a double-sided machining process. Locating pin hole milling and the final cut-out are each integrated into their corresponding steps, with the cut-out generated directly in the finishing stage.
  - Locating hole parameters: Mill the locating pin holes with a 3.175 × 12 flat end mill, with the end depth set uniformly to 9 mm.
- Roughing setup: The second-step roughing requires no special adjustments. Run it with the standard default settings.
Finishing Parameters
- Finishing Step 1
  - Tool and allowance: Use a 3.175 × 2 × 6 ball end mill, with a depth allowance of 0.15 mm and a maximum cutting depth of 3.1 mm.
  - Feed and toolpath strategy: Set the feed rate to 500 and the plunge rate to 200. Change the toolpath strategy to Offset and pair it with a ramping entry strategy.
- Finishing Step 2
  - Tool and allowance: Use a 1 × 3 mm ball end mill, with a depth allowance of 0 and a maximum cutting depth kept at 3.1 mm.
  - Feed and toolpath strategy: Because of past tool breakage, set the feed rate to 200 mm/min and the plunge rate to 100 mm/min. Use the Offset toolpath strategy, and keep the previous floor settings
